  1. OK so we don’t have squirrels and we don’t have bird feeders but I can imagine. Sorry I haven’t been in touch for a while. I have moved from Melbourne to Ballarat and it was quite a wrench and took up a bit of my time.

    • It’s a gray squirrel. Any time past noon, that area is shaded. I see red squirrels while kayaking, which is in less populated areas.

      I would see black squirrels just across the gorge at Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, and then in parks right at the gorge edge in New York State. Anywhere else on the American side they would be gray squirrels.

      • We don’t have grey squirrels yet. The UK is infested with them and so is Italy so it’s only a matter of time before we get them too. Ironically, one of the few predators of grey squirrels in the UK is the pine marten, and they’s practically exterminated it…
