Thank you, V.J.
It’s almost like a “drought of connection,” but I couldn’t figure out how to word it. Now that I have, I guess it could be substituted for “social distancing.”

It’s funny that’s where your mind went from the image, but I guess these things are on all of our minds.

Actually, I first though of “A Streetcar Named Desire.” (Maybe because it will be on TCM next week?) I then thought about what people have most desired in the last year, and what has stood in the way. Yeah, my mind is a jungle.

When I saw “streetcar” in your title, I thought of A Streetcar Named Desire. Younger daughter and her husband met when they performed in it in college. She was Blanche and he was Stanley. Their director officiated at their wedding. I think poets’ minds work differently than non-poets’ minds.😀

Very good poem Ken. To bad Silverstein is not around to write, “Where the Street Car Tracks end!”

Ha! I can imagine what he’d have to say about this past year.
Thanks, Dwight.

Love this and it perfectly ties in with the image. It’s more that the sum of its words. Well done

A brilliant senryu, Ken! It’s that sense of abandonment and loss that you picked up on from the photo. I love this! ❤
