All color is drained from an offering
that holds nothing more than the bones
of a life spent pursuing a dream
with no hope of realization.
Like a walk through dry grass,
our journey together has not brought
the joy we sought, with naught but
the knowledge that our ways must part.
This is my response to Thursday Photo Prompt: Presence #writephoto
at Sue Vincent’s Daily Echo, with her photo.

Better to follow a hopeless dream, perhaps, than to live without hope.
