mystic
caressing kiss
of a receding fog
banked along a winding river
lingers
slowly drifting among the reeds
last remnant of a cool
early autumn
morning
This is my response to Jane Dougherty’s Poetry Challenge #8: Butterfly Cinquain
Butterfly Cinquain – a nine line poem formatted with:
– a syllable count of 2-4-6-8-2-8-6-4-2
creating a butterfly pattern
I like how nicely your butterfly cinquain flows … beautifully done.
