Thank you, Kerfe. Normally, the poetry comes before the art. In this case I found the image first and was inspired by every element, especially the warm light of morning.

Thank you, Susi. 🙂 Looking back I remember that to find an iris image I discovered this one, and I realize I also should categorize it as ekphrastic. Sometimes it’s the image that prompts the poem.
