You Know I’m Right ~ quadrille

You Know I’m Right

Look it up, and see
if you don’t agree. We may
see what we want to see,
but there’s no denying
the truth is there. Where
would we be if facts were
lies, lies were facts,
and the President lived
in the Black House?

This is my response to Quadrille #79: Up with Poems, People,
the prompt from De Jackson at dVerse, which is to use the word up in a quadrille,
a 44-word poem that does not require meter or rhyme.

  1. The perspective of “that house” being pure, as in white, has been smudged near-black already … the elbow grease (and detox solutions) needed to cleanse thick grimy residue defy probabilities. Still, one can hope to collectively tackle the chore once the Contaminator vacates the premises.

    • That may be true. And then there’s everything that comes out of Trump’s mouth. The man has defined a new standard for truth that hopefully is erased when he is out of office.
