I was watching a show about those working at discovering those temples. There are more that we thing we know that still exist that have been taken over by vegetation an the land. I think the show was the guy Josh… who does a bunch of exploring. I think he was helping to look for temples of the Snake Kings.

Even though those folks had some primitive communities… they were also extremely smart!
The debate rages on about where they disappeared too. I wonder if DNA testing could help with migratory paths of those who fled the possible famine?

Right. The region may have cycled through civilizations and empires, but who’s to say how far they would have progressed, if not for the final conquest.
