well within
eyes deep
like wells to the stars
the deeper I look
the farther I’m drawn
finding what I seek
found for what I seek
This is my response to Jane Dougherty’s A Month with Yeats: Day Twenty-Five (each day a new Yeats quote)
“And when white moths were on the wing,
And moth-like stars were flickering out,
I dropped the berry in a stream
And caught a little silver trout.”
W.B. Yeats
I like the mysticism in this one. That’s a word that seems appropriate to so many of the Yeats inspired poems.

Thank you, Jane.
Yes, I’ve noticed that in many of the responses.

I like how the water became the depths of eyes. They contain mysteries, for sure. (K)

Thanks, Kerfe. That must be my mystic connection with water.

This is mystic and mysterious–the “well to the stars.” I like your take on the prompt.
