Our trip to Cleveland/Buffalo took us through Indianapolis, where we spent a pleasant evening with Stephanie L. Harper and Robert Okaji.

Yeah, short-form poetry is my thing.  I decided to try writing the first free-verse poem in other forms.  The definitions of these forms can be found on my Poetic Forms page.

Goddess of the Moon

Goddess of the Moon

salient arc at night

soft light in brilliance

heavenly Selene

lunar light lingers

last receding light

Yesterday’s prompt from napowrimo.net was to write a lune.  Mine just happens to have a lunar aspect to it.  In Greek mythology, Selene is the Goddess of the Moon.
Lune ~ three lines with a syllable count of 5-3-5, or a word count of 5-3-5 ~ also known as American haiku
