chaos theory

what seems like chaos
as chaos is in the making
is more than chaos
yet something less
when in truth
there is no truth
until all is sorted,
arranged, placed,
removing any semblance
of the chaos that is held within
the thoughts that created it
Please read Those Words Must Wait – a poem by Paul Vincent Cannon,
which inspired this poem.
I just went to the wiki link and see they use fractals as an example of an underlying pattern. What amazes me is that fractals are independent of mathematics and “simply” exist in nature. You do a good job of teasing out the intricacies of chaos theories in very few words. Maybe a verbal fractal of a sort? Ken, check this out: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goblet_word

Thank you Lisa. 🙏
I chose the title when I finished the poem. When I went to Wiki, I was surprised by how appropriate it was.
And “goblet word”… just as fitting when you consider how chaotic thoughts can evolve into reasoned discourse.

You’re very welcome and whatever the chronology (as if time were linear beyond our illusions) it meshes well. Goblet words allow us to communicate the uncommunicatable…

Yes, the case at any moment, as we need to remind ourselves.

Sometimes we’re inside the patterns so we can’t see them. I feel that way all the time myself….(k)

I don’t think we ever know when we’ve really sorted it out.

Very neatly explained. How often we find it difficult so exactly what do you mean

Thank you. I’m still sorting things out long after I’ve said or written them.

I love chaos theory, I love the way you have drawn out the whole mess of thought as problematic as thought as ordered, wonderful stuff, and many the thanks for the shout-out Ken.
