Cherry Blossoms Fall ~ haibun

Cherry Blossoms Fall

The years have not passed without notice. Each moment was vital in its own way, left its mark in its own way, even if the memories of those moments have dimmed with time.

April breeze
cherry blossoms fall
life goes on

This haibun is my response to Haibun Monday 3-28-22: Cherry Blossoms,
the prompt from Frank Tassone at dVerse ~ Poets Pub.

  1. So true, Ken.
The haiku seems written for me (and the world)–my mom died in April two years ago in the first Covid wave. Our white cat died earlier that same April week. The spring trees were in full bloom. 💙
