one perpetual flow
contemplate a river
reflect on all, above
and below the surface
know the truth
of life flowing past
always flowing, depth
a matter of perception,
perspective found
in the waves that wash
over you in that moment

You’re welcome, Ken. It’s like that in the Great Lakes as you know, but I’ve never seen it that clean in a river before. Is this near where the river opens into a Great Lake?

This is in the gorge, about 3 miles below Niagara Falls and 7 miles from Lake Ontario. The gorge ends in another mile, but within the gorge it’s all rapids.

Wow that’s not even close to Lake Ontario! Maybe it is the turbulence of the rapids that keeps it cleaned?

Beautiful, Ken – reading this feels like wave caresses. Stunning turquoise hue to the water of the Niagara River gorge. [And thank you for the link.]

we should contemplate rivers more often, as the truth to life flows in those waters…
This beautiful poem says it all…
