Congrats, KG. I believe in helping all living creatures, but I could easily do without the litterbugs.

Hurrah for you, Ken – for your tending the trails and for your poem becoming a call to others to do likewise! Love the photo, also.
We’ve noticed an increase of litter in local parks/trails since mid 2020 – likely due to influx of people isolated by COVID with zero affinity for proper behavior on trails. The most curious (often repeated!) litter is bagged dog poop left at trailside – as if expecting someone to pick that up on a regular basis. At first we thought someone ahead planned to pick up on their way back … but we never found anyone ahead.
There is definitely a need to get the word out about trail/Nature protocols – this poem helps!
