shelter beneath oak
threatening clouds overhead
thunderstorm ensues
This haiku is my response to Colleen’s #Tanka Tuesday #Poetry Challenge No. 238,
#SynonymsOnly, where the prompt words are sanctuary (shelter) and follow (ensue).

Trees can be a refuge, but not so sure when it’s storming!

That may be true. Take your chance anywhere outdoors during a storm.

I love that image. I hope both the tree and the person under it remain safe in the storm.

What’s really safe out in the open, right. Thanks, Lisa.

I can feel the storm approaching from your words, Ken. We had a few storms rumble through this week. Lots of rain! ❤

Beautiful poem and photo! (Though probably not the place to shelter during a thunderstorm.)
