Mother and Child
Neither bother nor regret
will enter a mother’s mind,
once a child’s call is heard.
Mountains will move
and the heavens will open
with the brightest of lights,
until both hearts are free
from the faintest of shadows,
and they are whole, once again.
This poem is my response to Quadrille #126 – Come “bother” up a poem, the prompt from De Jackson at dVerse ~ Poets Pub, which is to use a form of the word bother
in a 44-word poem, with no required meter or rhyme.

The bond between mother and child has to be stronger than most things.

You have my heart with this quadrille, Ken! 😀 Indeed, nothing quite compares to a bond between a mother and her child. 💝💝

No stronger bond anywhere, I believe (at least in most cases).

This is lovely Ken. Absolutely no doubt about it. A mother would fight tigers for her child.

Yes, a mother’s love is like that. Even when she’s tired and strung out, it’s always there.

Ken, this is an incredibly lovely quadrille …. I was blessed to see my Mother thru the last five years of her life …. a privilege not many experience.
