wrestlution
I walk these paths
life’s threads
never simple, often tangled
beyond recognition
finding what matters
most, resolution
no simple matter
getting here filled with vexations
complications, estimations
taking stock of situations
convoluted permutations
constant need of calibration
causing me consternation
I wrestle with knots
This poem is my response to Quadrille #124, the prompt from Mish at dVerse ~ Poets Pub, which is to use a form of the word knot in a 44-word poem, with no required meter or rhyme.

I think we all do–and as we get older, we look back on all those knots we wrestled with (and more to come).

Often we get tangled in all those complications… maybe we need simpler knots.

You might wrestle with knots, but the words don’t cause you any problems.

I like how you laid this out, with the two introductory stanzas then went into almost “rap mode” to finish off with a declaratory conclusion. Nicely done!

Oh, yeah; that third stanza blasts it off! Great stuff, KG. I don’t know why, after reading this (and all the other fine responses) I struggled so with this prompt. Just an off-day, i guess.
Fine work, man!

Knots can be anchors when we take them on without being concerned about how they’re made.
Deliciously fun words in this one!
