Saving Daylight
Did not rise early
to compensate for the hour lost.
It was Sunday, after all,
and there were no other plans.
A virtual gift, a bonus
added to my guilty pleasure
of sleeping in.
But now it’s Monday,
and I still haven’t gotten up.
Feeling guilty? Not at all.

What an adorable piece and so much fun to read. Just love the kick in the head at the end, especially because I completely agree with the sentiments expressed in all three stanzas. Excellent work my man. You be the best ever.
