All That Waste

All That Waste

lives lost
as a virus rages
souls clamor

for a remedy
to be delivered
without delay

with success
and distribution
comes denial

individual
right to refuse
vaccination

timely delivery
but untimely receipt
means doses lost

unintended
dose of reality
lives lost

This poem is my response to Twiglet #217 from Misky, the twiglet of inspiration being “all that waste.”
