Waiting ~ magnetic poetry

Waiting

Branches still bare,
nascent buds breathe
this fresh winter air
that would be spring,
given the chance.

Shoots nudge earth
and leaves in search
of sunlight beckoned
by a gentle breeze
of poetry and longing.
