Unknown
While ours to consider,
haunting or blessing, the past
will not foretell the future.
Riddled with unknowns, both
darkness and light, the path
before us is ours to discern.
Neither granting advantage
nor taking it for granted,
our challenge is to find the way.
This is my response to dVerse – Quadrille 120 (aka 119 part 2) – No way! Way!,
the prompt from Lisa at dVerse ~ Poets Pub, which is to use
a form of the word way in a 44-word poem, with no required meter or rhyme.
We do well to rise to the challenge Ken. Nice one. Thanks for droppibg by to read mine
Much💖love

Yes, yes, yes. I have never believed destiny is foretold or in our DNA. Enjoyed this one, Ken.

It’s true; we’re mapless, KG; we’re forced to stumble, unsure, into a future we cannot know until it arrives.
Well done.

Streamlined and wise words. It’s great advocacy for mindfulness of the present, each day a gift.

Exactly. We have to find it, not blindly follow a path charted for us by somebody else.

Thank you, Jane. Advice is one thing, but the inner voice should not be ignored.

No. We used to call it our conscience, in the days when we were supposed to listen to the good angel and ignore the wicked on. Now we just change channels.

Ken, I so agree. We must remain lost until WE are certain WE are found.

Our challenge is to find the way. And even in today’s age with fancy GPS systems, some of us are still led to the edge of a cliff and fail to open our eyes soon enough.
I like this post!

Nicely written, Ken. The source of greatest hope, that the past doesn’t have to determine the future.
