Frosted Memories

Frosted Memories

Time cannot diminish the luster of frosted glass

Or silence the voice that is the beauty within

Water and stones sift through my fingers

And that beauty shines through

Elusive memories touch the light of day

Have their say, then retreat

Time moves on

One just has to keep pace or be readily left out. That’s true Ken! Things are not quite moving now but we never know. They might get the elusive vaccine and there’ll be a scramble!

  2. “Water and stones sift through my fingers” yes, that is exactly the feeling when, for five winters running, we stayed in St. George, Bermuda and each year, at least twice, I would walk at least two miles to a spot that was known by the locals as Sea Glass Beach. I always marvled at how frosted and smooth the pieces where and wondered how they came to be discarded….were they part of a tumbler or a wine glass. I especially enjoyed looking for bits of porcelain…also smoothed by the tumbling waves. And oh so special when they would still have a bit of design or pattern on them.
Thanks for the memories evoked by your post!
