Poem Up at the Ekphrastic Review

My poem, “If Only” is featured today with other selections for Ekphrastic Writing Responses: Jose Ferraz de Almeida Junior. The inspiration for the challenge is the artist’s painting “Model’s Rest.”

My thanks go to Lorette C. Luzajic, Editor at The Ekphrastic Review, for including my poem.

    • Thank you, Jazz. My first thought was of a musical “rest,” so I wanted to hint at that. But then I got to thinking about what an artist (painter) appreciates and how we might assume it’s composition or visual beauty when it could be something altogether different.

  1. I’ve just seen your poem, Ken, and it’s my favourite of those published. As I scrolled down, I thought, this is a good one. I liked the run on from the title, and it’s short, to the point, intelligible, and lyrical. Then I saw who wrote it 🙂
