regarding the silence of indifference
the inconvenience
of truth
meaningless
insignificant
words
nothing more
their problem
not mine
better things
to do
The prompt for MTB: Imagism revisited, from Frank at dVerse Poets Pub is to use the aesthetics of Imagism with an economy of language. This poem probably is more Minimalism that Imagism.
This conveys a feeling of emptiness, which works somehow.

Thank you. It could be said that lack of empathy is an emptiness.

Thank you. As I spend the time to edit or create an image to go with a poem, I remind myself it’s part of the presentation. I wanted that zero to reflect a lack of empathy.

Damn, this chaos we live in is riddled with indifference, ignorance and denial. Your short poignant truthful candid lines outline things too clearly.

The indifference in your poem is conveyed in the miminalist language and sparse layout. There is a bleak, empty feel to it.

It’s all inconvenient now. As certain people would say, sad. (K)

“silence of indifference”…. there’s been too much of that for too long. I like that you end with action.

You manage to fashion these expressions into abstract images that signify in a visceral sense exactly what is wrong–and missing–in our relations with each other. Wonderfully done!
