full worm surfaces
following sudden downpour
sugar moon rising
This haiku is my response to
Frank Tassone’s #Haikai
Challenge #129: Super (Worm) Moon.
A full moon in close approach to Earth is a Super Full Moon. A full moon in March has many names: Worm Moon, Lenten Moon, Crust Moon, Chaste Moon, Sugar Moon, and Sap Moon.

Beautiful, Ken. From under Earth, to above, to the moon.
I much prefer Sugar Moon to Worm Moon even though the worms do
wonderful work for all growing things.
