Behind the lens,
seldom in front.
So I search,
frame by frame.
Through weddings, holidays,
camping, birthdays.
Moments trivial
and significant.
And there you are,
your love in every frame.
Missed, always.

Beautiful, Ken. Both the video and the just-words versions.
I am drawn to the photo here on your page … sensing a serious conversationalist content to be without conversation at the moment.

Sadness enveloped in love, a cycle of tender tension.

My father was always taking those films too. I don’t think he was ever in any of them. But I do have photos (and the memories of course) (k)

I have several reels, up to the very early 70s, that I sent for conversion to digital. And there’s more, up to 1980 or so. Some day I’ll convert those, but, for the most part, they’re vacation films my younger sister would appreciate.

One of my brothers has the ones my father took. I’ll have to ask him if he digitized them.
