Words of Love
Witness two lovers, sharing their vows.
There is no instantaneous transformation.
Their love is as true before, as it is after,
yet that moment stands frozen in time,
the depth of their love in the words they choose.
Their truth is a song, and no song
that a bird might sing to its mate
could make this more clear to the world.
In Meet the Bar – Metaphorically Speaking, Björn at dVerse asks us to use metaphor
to expand on something to create something entirely new and unique.

Nice last three lines with their truth being a clear song to the world.

Thank you, Frank. I don’t question the love behind “to have and to hold … from this day forth,” but when words are chosen and then spoken for all to hear it’s like a chorus of two that can’t be equaled.

I think you are right. It is good not to question that love and it is like a chorus.
