in the deepest night
looking to stars for a sign
finding spark of hope
This senryū is my response to
Colleen’s 2019 Weekly #Tanka Tuesday #Poetry Challenge
No. 140 #SynonymsOnly, which offers light and dark as prompt words.
I have used “spark” and “deepest night” as synonyms.

How beautiful, Ken… since the beginning of time we’ve all looked to the stars for answers. Excellent source of hope. ❤

I’ve always wanted to visit other planets and space and I guess now it won’t happen but your poem reminds me why I look out to the stars.
