always early morning ~ magnetic poetry

always early morning

awake in light of near-
yet-distant star

the only shadows falling
beneath measured steps
of men long gone

I dreamt I was the moon

“I dreamt I was the moon” is a line from Full Moon, by Alice Oswald.

    • 🙂 Thank you, Jazz.
Sometimes, it helps to go into magnetic poetry with some ideas. I had a poem of three or four lines that just wasn’t working, so I thought I’d see what The Oracle had to say about it. The general idea is still there, but most of it came from seeing the available words. That last line was the only thing that survived once I started using the magnets.
