The prompt for Carpe Diem #1690 Troiku Month – butterfly is to write a haiku
about butterflies (in blue) to be used to create a troiku.

A troiku is three haiku, with each of the three lines from a suggested haiku as the first line of each haiku in the troiku. It’s not always possible to have a 5-7-5 format in the second haiku, due to the limitations of the suggested haiku. The name of the form is derived from “troika,” a sled or carriage drawn by three horses harnessed side-by-side, an iconic symbol of Imperial Russia.

I love the way these expand on the original image. And your photo has become a textile. (K)

Thanks, Kerfe.
The phone app is a straight forward process, with various options, each with its own contrasts, lines & colors. I like this effect, but it gave the leaves a blue hue, so I edited the result on my laptop to return some green to that background.

So descriptive in few words, Ken. Nicely done. It is fun to be in a butterfly house and see the aerial antics. That photo is wonderful! Kerfe is right that it looks like a textile.

Thank you, Merril.
I was surprised by the brilliant colors of that effect, and I’m very pleased by the thought of it as a textile.
