Between the Lines

Seek, but do not assume, truth in verse.
His words are not my thoughts.
Hers are not my beliefs.
While much of poetry is dialogue,
how much of dialogue is lies,
and how much misunderstood?
Finding wisdom is not guaranteed,
yet truth is there for those who recognize it.

The prompt for NaPoWriMo.net Day 28 is to write a meta poem – a poem about poetry.
