Because
Love and understanding,
compassion in times of trial.
Each of these I give to you
without reserve, my child.
Because my heart could not be less,
it is always open to you.
The joy you bring to me
I would give, in kind, to you.
The NaPoWriMo Day 7 prompt asks us to write a poem of gifts and joy,
for ourselves or others.
Image: Of course my granddaughter would be gazing with wonder into her motherโs eyes.
This truly brought tears to my eyes… One of the most touching poems I have read here about a little baby, your granddaughter. You should have this piece framed for her when she grows up. Absolutely touching! ๐

REBLOG: I felt so touched by this moving poem from Grandfather to Granddaughter. “Rivrvlogr” is the author, and I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I have. ๐

You have such a way with words to express emotion. And who wouldn’t smile at that photo? (K)

All of what Kerfe said! ๐
Lovely thoughts in the poem. I feel the same way–and that photo captures perfectly the bond between mother and child.
