passage to the sea
while crossing many deserts
finding a new home
watching from a lofty height
house sparrow in saguaro

I live in New Spain, even though I was born in New Albion, according to Drake and Elizabeth the 1st. The saguaro doesn’t grow on this coast I call home but its spread through the Sonora desert starts only a few hundred miles east from here. Their are weird variations down in Baja peninsula beginning another two hundred miles south of the border. The Sonora desert is huge and has many regions to it. Most of it is in Mexico but it also lives wide and beautiful in Arizona. Thank you for helping me see it in a bird’s eye. Sweet rhyme there with sparrow and saguaro.
