Long Nights Moon coming
This haiku is my response to
Frank Tassone’s #Haikai Challenge #65: Solstice II.
The coming full moon (22 Dec 2018) is known as
Oak Moon, Cold Moon, or Long Nights Moon.
The photo is of the Frost Moon or Beaver Moon, taken on 22 Nov 2018, in Missouri.

Love the moon photo… the moon does get to shine longer on Winter Solstice!

I got a sense of northern hemisphere chill reading your haiku even though it’s a bright sunny day down here in southern hemisphere.

The rain drowned out the Geminid meteor shower in our area.
Looking forward to longer days. I enjoyed reading all the moons names.
There really are many.

Small/medium town here – 40K or so – but plenty of light pollution.
