A Poem Has Its Way

A Poem Has Its Way

Free from any association
with its writerโ€™s state of mind,
this poem lives through the will
of a poem that held its own
writer captive for hours.

I lay no blame on Ben,
himself a victim of verses
determined to be heard,
or rather discovered by
this unsuspecting reader.

And with that discovery
was planted a germ, so that you,
dear reader, would know
its fruits, a missive announcing
little more than its arrival.

Inspired by Poems Lead Poets by Ben Naga.

  1. Now that’s what I call (and appreciate as) a smart response! ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m currently busy making what was today’s Meal 2.(Meal 1 was hours ago.) and now it’s become yesterday’s. But as Arnold Schwarzenegger said/says, “I’ll be back”. Don’t go away. (Unless you want to, of course …)

  2. The Real History. I was reading some old postings (and the accompanying comments) from several years back. One of my comments struck me as having the makings for a poem in current time. The Sarah referred to stopped posting on WP a long time ago and I hasten to say that her decision had nothing to do with my comment or indeed to do with me at all. ๐Ÿ™‚
