No Shadow Too Dark
Storms will cast their shadows,
yet never dim
the star that shines upon us,
its light held, as well,
within our hearts for those days
that would be darkest, were it not
for a burning love that lives on,
a love that will never die.
I was at a bit of a “block” in my response to Thursday Photo Prompt: Glimmer #writephoto
at Sue Vincent’s Daily Echo, until I read the response from pensitivity101. So, thank you, Di!
(And, of course, thank you to Sue for her prompt and photo.)
I’m glad Di’s poem did the trick 🙂
Lovely work as always, Ken.

Methinks we have been ploughing a similar furrow recently, Ken. 🙂

LIGHT AND DARK
In darkness
A light seeks us out
Throws a line
Lest we drown
Whilst most marvellous of all
‘Tis we who threw it

AWAKENING
is a light in the darkness
cast by our past selves,
a reminder to validate
that past by carrying on

Lovely, Ken!
Stars and light seem to be the theme of the day. A response to all the darkness in the world right now?

Good observation on the darkness.

Too often hearts can be held in a vise grip of darkness…
Love if allowed can be all the healing one could want or need.
