I’ve just been reading about the harvest moon celebration in Japan. it does feel like an edge, a border, an ending that begins.
harvest moon rising–
encompassed and expanding–
leaves sing in the wind

I like that thought – an ending that begins.
And love the haiku.

I wait to see if any gleam, or glow, squeaks and shimmers through our coastal blanket

Your 2012 moon must’ve wanted to come back out … perhaps tonight’s skies are granting its wish?
I was just out photographing tonight’s moon, but we have a lot of humidity in spite of no clouds – the image is surrounded by haze halo and no detail whatsoever in moon surface. Good to have your image pop up!

Partly cloudy right now. Fingers crossed for this evening, hoping rain holds off till after midnight.

Beautiful poetry in here. Delightful to see the moon even though it was 2012.

Thank you.
We have partly cloudy right now, so I’ll try for tonight. Rain is forecast for later, so I guess we’ll see.
