Inner Harbor
I seek this harbor
not for refuge. It is the love
I feel when I am with you,
the comfort I find
when wrapped in your arms.
Whether in storm or calm waters,
it is in your presence that I feel
most at home.
The prompt from Lillian for Quadrille Monday at dVerse is to use the word harbor in a poem, any form, of exactly 44 words.

Love a harbor like this… I imagines being too far from the same harbor.

The sinking ship of your poem seems so far from this point.

Or the same point just being lost.

I applaud your choices for line breaks; reading down the right side is like a bonus poem within. Perhaps it should be called Inner Poem? Nicely done!

Thank you.
Interestingly, I tried several different forms before going back to these original breaks.
