I’ve felt like this sparrow (though not this spring/summer, we are maybe in the situation of getting too much rain and we’re getting cranky for that reason!). Sparrows are so small and yet so much of a presence, it should surprise me that we notice them so much but it doesn’t, if you know what I mean. Very vivid image I got here from this poem.

Thank you.
I have a fair variety of birds in my backyard, but when I see something small I’m wondering, “What is that?! Oh yeah, a sparrow!”

Thank you, Merril. I wanted that turn that you have in haiku, and I was stumped. And then it came to me!

I have seen this, very interesting to watch. How can a bird such fun in a puddle….way to adapt to a situation I suppose. Nice write.
