lines trace paths to follow
murmur of starlings

a painting against the blue sky
ballet in fluid motion
rising and falling

leaves under my feet
long days give way to long nights
finally at rest

This troiku is my response to Carpe Diem Weekend Meditation #31 Troiku … “bare branches”. A troiku is three haiku, with each of the three lines from a suggested haiku as the first line of each haiku in the troiku.

      Yes, that photo is great. I don’t see a murmuration very often, but I’m always impressed when I do. However, here in the States, some consider starlings to be a nuisance, especially when a large flock descends on an area.
