Oh how out of control those emotions are.

Disturbing truth. Well said.

Well written. Grounding daily – even when it’s cold – my bare feet hit the Earth, the grass, the snow, the midnight air, and I find ‘home’. Glad you shared this poem. Zander

Greed is at the root of our problems. Rich people not being content to be comfortable, insisting on opulence, grasping and stealing until they have it ALL.

Beautifully written, and sadly true.
I like the alliteration and the way this flows.

Thank you, Merril. Sometimes I tend to alliteration without realizing it. I recognized it after writing this. If I do aim for it, I have to remind myself to not overdo it.

It’s so emotional, isn’t it? If only our current administration had emotions, perhaps they would feel it too. (K)

I’m as close to nature as I’m going to get and still have lights at the flick of a switch and water at the turn of a tap (else I’ll starve)! That said, it’s a near daily battle to keep people aware of the impact. Broken glass, garbage all where people are but the further one walks the less it gets.

If only we can remember that just because there’s a price for our conveniences doesn’t mean we should plan to pay full cost.
