I have what some consider a weed… a butterfly bush. And I am happy to see both Monarch’s and Swallowtails and some other little flutterbys (their original name before being transformed to butterfly).

Both the creation of a chrysalis and the emergence are amazing to see.

One year we tried to save some Monarch’s late in the season, but they had some virus and didn’t evolve.
Last year I was able to take a series of photos of a robin’s nest with eggs, then chicks in my hedges. That was fun to see too.
