Milestone

Milestone

Milestone

Well worn,
our path together,
though not

well traveled.
Where it took us
not being where

we chose to go.
And so our paths
parted, a milestone

all that’s left
of what once was
our life together.

This poem is a response to OpenLinkNight #216 at dVerse.
It was inspired by The Boundary Stone, the photo by James Elkington at Walking with a Smacked Pentax.   (used with permission)  Check out his photos. They are amazing.

  1. We take strange paths, resolute in our choice, thus placing limitations on our progress,
Sometimes parting is the only option. a milestone reached…
Loved your take on the image.
