This troiku is my response to Carpe Diem Troiku Kukai “in the herb garden”. A troiku is three haiku, with each of the three lines from a suggested haiku as the first line of each haiku in the troiku.
Poignant. (K)

Thank you, Kerfe.
I tried adding some depth to the original without taking from its ability to stand alone.

It is poignant when the three are read as a story.

I thought this was to be part of a contest…maybe I read it wrong. Well done!

AND… I see I even messed up the link to Carpe Diem (now corrected) – writing/doing too many things at once. I’ve contacted Kristjaan and reminded him that mine should not be considered with the others, as it’s already published. Thanks for keeping me on my toes, Pat.
