abandoned
with little regard
for service
in the past
and little reason for hope
last days of winter
“Eliot Dybden,” at Along the Interstice, has named this month Shadorma November (ShaNov). This is my third shadorma for November, using photos from my WP Media Library. A shadorma has six lines with no rhyme or meter, except for a syllable structure of 3/5/3/3/7/5.
Photo originally used with the poem Final Release (one of my earliest poems on WordPress).
Alas! I thought there for a moment you were talking about us, Retirees . . . A fine fine flow to this!

Maybe I was – for some. 😉
And, thank you.

It definitely seems abandoned!

That truck (a Mack, about 1949) sits in a heavy brush/light tree, former farm field 100 yards behind my sister’s house. Before I moved from WNY, I made a point of taking photos, each season.

I wonder what the story with it is.
