Pointless
Speak
as from on high
It is your way
Set the course
you’d have us take
It is your way
Offer counsel
taking none
It is your way
Pontificate
with empty words
It is your way
Knowing this
we face elsewhere
It is our way
This poem is in response to Thursday Photo Prompt – Alone #writephoto, from Sue Vincent’s Daily Echo, with her photo.
We each face our own way…even if we are going the same way in the end.

I think Sue will tell us where it is when she does her round-up, next Thursday.

I love that there is a choice. Choosing not to. And the starkness and simplicity of the words fits the firmness of the sentiments expressed. Just great.

Excellent! A thing that needs saying, beautifully and simply expressed.

I liked the contrast between “your way” and “our way”.
