She’s still a beauty.

At nearly fourteen, she still has her perky moments. Her hind legs just don’t cooperate like they used to.

Ani’s are not brilliant any more either and she’s only six, but not the longest lived breed. It dosn’t stop her yet though.

Fourteen, this coming January. At 6 months, she had surgery for severe hip dysplasia, and she was given 9 to 10 years. (She will set off a metal detector.) She’s only slowed down in the last 2 years, but her hearing went about 6 months ago.

Oh bless her. She looks so peaceful. I bet she still dreams of chasing rabbits and having fun. I know Maggie does, and she’ll be 12 next month. She and the rabbits here have an agreement… they won’t run away and she won’t chase them.

I might say the same for Megan and squirrels, but I think that’s more about her eyesight, these days.
