patterns in the sky
watching signs of migration
geese call to the wind
course of life celebrated
from one season to the next
Using celebrate and watch, this is my response to a challenge from Colleen Chesebro: Coleen’s Weekly #Tanka #Poetry Prompt Challenge #7 Celebrate & Watch.

Your words speak to me today. I really love the “patterns in the sky.” ❤

MIGRANTS
Come Autumn geese form
An arrow – a reminder
“Go inward, upward”
Come Spring (If they’ve not been shot)
They shall see how far we’ve come

Nice.
This could apply to migrants of all forms.

Where did you find the image of the geese? I would like to use it on my own site but don’t wish to cause offence so I’d like to ask permission if necessary and/or aknowledge the source. Thanks. 🙂

Thanks. I missed it because I thought it referred to the Tanka Tuesday image it immediately followed. My mistake.

I really like this, Ken. There is something soothing about the flight of geese and the continuation of nature’s cycles.

Thank you.
It’s a sign of the continuity we need.
