what was new is old
brown leaves fall onto green grass
raking to harvest
gathered leaves added to mulch
new moon watches in silence
This is my response to a new challenge from Colleen Chesebro: Silver’s Weekly #Tanka #Poetry Prompt Challenge #1 Harvest & Moon.
OH, this is perfect imagery! I’m so glad to see you for Tanka Tuesday! I hope you will stop by again! Well done, my friend! ❤

Great addition to the season’s repertoire . . . The moonlight makes it ethereal!

Thanks!
I always am intrigued to see the moon in the sky during the middle of the day. Today, I had to imagine, as our cloud cover won’t break until tomorrow. (But Google Sky Map assured me it’s up there!)

Well done. It captures fall–sort of wistful.
