Good Morning, Starshine
Need there be rhyme in
words that weave their way
through the stars?
If I wax poetic,
it’s merely my soul
seeking the song
in those stars that echos
the song within your soul.

Beautiful, Ken. Oddly enough, I was listening to that old song last night for the first time in years too.

Curious that today’s news told of the discovery of a new planet orbiting the sun nearest our own sun. Maybe your song is coming from a poet living on that world! I like your poem very much!

I’m just glad I can still see them down here where there are so many strip malls with lights, but my street is pretty dark still so I can gaze aimlessly….if I can get up that early 🙂
