Comes a Time
Hate spews
from rhetoric
to VIOLENCE
Disease spreads on
the thin ice of prevention
eager to feed on
the waiting pool
Oceans rise
Deserts dry
Poverty
Hunger
hold up their bowls as
the markets plunge
We stave off these threats
try to reverse them
for those we cherish
But do we seal them in
a stone fortress
a virtual crypt
their fate sealed
before it’s delivered?
Comes a time when
it is our children’s world
